UNIT 5 - Weekly Production Log 4
This week we had filmed quite a lot of shots all around the school and had interviewed numerous students/teachers. We had out all the shots on the editing timeline and had double checked what was missing in order to fill in the gaps. Once that was done we split into groups again and went and filmed the missing shots. One problem we faced was the amount of people coming into class, this meant that not everyone had a fair turn in doing some filming, which in result ended up in some filming/doing more work than others. However once the students came back they were told. We have almost come to the end of editing as we now have a secure structure to how we have to film and edit, one last significant part we to add in is the voice overs for the footage that we have filmed.
UNIT 5 - Weekly Production Log 3
This week we split into groups to go and film the school in different areas and parts of the building, this makes us more productive and time wise as going as a whole group to one place at a time would not be very time wise and smart. So we split the groups into groups covering Lower school: Floor 1, Floor 2 and Floor 3. The groups consisted of up to about 2-3 people. Some people such as myself used their mobile devices to capture footage as the camera quality on the Iphones are exceptionally good. After splitting into groups we each had a to do list of what needs to be filmed and it must be up to a good standard. In the brief we had with Mr Phillips he told us specifically that he wanted to avoid class room shots for a long duration of time as he has seen other schools do it and finds to very boring.
